Age 6 on a 24" coaster-brake single-speed; age 12 or so, 20" Columbia "Stingray;" age 13 - 24" unicycle; also age 13 - Suzuki 80cc. From there a series of dirt bikes/race bikes took over. Raced indoor short track, flat track, scrambles, rough-scrambles, motocross and desert cross country.

At about age 45, I bought a full suspension Mongoose at Costco ( ) and took up mountain biking.
