SOME Peugeots are heavy, just like some bikes made by nearly every manufacturer are heavy. Peugeot made some very nice racing bikes along with the lower end stuff you see more commonly. Furthermore, I love the geometry on my old, lower end Peugeot, it's comfy yet responsive. Peugeot won a lot of races back in the day and they were popular for good reasons. You'd be a fool to dismiss any Peugeot you come across based on the U-08 you saw posted/dissed here.
