well wat i do is i lean my front body a little bit over my handle bars and then after that i pull back but with out yanking my bike up then once im in this position i lean back behind my seat and naturally for me when i first trying manuals my body sort of moves back and forth in a humping motion.. when i first started i could only manual for a good 5 10 ft like you but now i can go for maybe close to a 150 ft/ 200 feet once i get a good one...
