Arriving in today's mail was a nice 1950/51 flyer for Raleigh bicycles, export edition, and my eye was immediately drawn to what is a dream bike for me, the Lenton Tourist. Below is the bit from that flyer plus the image from the UK catalog from that period. I'm thinking I might convert my 1948 Claud Butler into such a bike with EA1 alloy wheels (which are what the Claud came with), a Sturmey Archer AW hub, and an alloy chainguard like the one Velo Orange is thinking about carrying. Of course, I'd rather have the real thing.
