The typical advice is to go with a 107mm shimano UN-54 bottom bracket. The 110mm, however, only differs in the non-drive side length, making it functionally equivalent to the 107 in terms of chain line. There are just 3mm of extra spindle sticking out on the non-drive side. This can annoy some people who are particular about q-factor and such. Note that you'll need to mount the chain ring on the inside of the spider in order to achieve a workable chain line for track hubs.
Thanks for the info shants. I'm not too picky over the extra 3mm, and besides: I kinda like the way chain rings look when they're on the inside of spiders. Call me weird.
But you say workable? Should I be scared when I'm putting this thing together?
