When we found it, the twin "top" tubes to head lug joint looked like had never been brazed together!
That is strange. I wish I could remember more about what the store told me. Only that the Custom which I have preceded the Trident, but there was another model besides the Custom and Trident.
There was this Biscayne "Galaxy" model that sold on this thread, but I do not recall if the Galaxy came before the Trident.

My only complaint is that the Dia-Compe brakes have releases that do not allow the brake shoes to move far enough apart so I can remove the 27 1 1/4 tires and wheels for easy transport of the bike in the trunk. I have to let some air out of the tires. A 27 1 1/8 tire might work better but they seem a bit hard to come by.
I bought this as a used bike just to see if it was really that inconvenient to transport a full size bike rather than the Dahon folding bike I keep in the trunk now. I always keep an electric air pump in the trunk for the Dahon anyway.
