**** man, sorry to hear this. Road rashes suck. I would highly recommend using Tegaderm on the less severe rashes, and Duoderm or such colloid-based patch for the more severe ones. If it oozes a lot, just use ordinary dressings for a day or so and then go the Duoderm route.
You'll hear much quicker this way, than with using traditional dressings (garze and no stick).
EDIT: and definitely clean very thoroughly (but without hurting the wound, just use lots and lots of water) the rash before sealing it off with the second skin.
