If you ever go to Pro Motion, lately, Leon has been selling some old-stock Scapins without forks for $1000.
They have the old style thin tubes, are lugless, and I reckon (going by the weight; 1670g, only 170g more than my Kennedy Dedacciai 7003) that they are made from Genius. They have some "modern" features such as curved seat stays, veritcal dropouts, and the STI braze-ons are on the head-tube.
I found the steering to be too twitchy, and I was getting speed wobbles, etc.
Maybe I'm too heavy for it (86kgs)
Are they $1500???? No fukken way.....
[Ed scratches his chin thoughtfully and thinks about putting his bike forks on ebay...]
Mine's rock solid...no hands, descents, sprints etc.
Oh yeah.....105kgs.
