Skinny?......never thought of skinny as being an issue for 'roadies'.....lol....if you are talking about 'strength & reliablity'.....I haven't heard of any issues with the Shimano 10 sp chain, 9nor have I had any)...campy had heaps of issues with theirs when it first came out, but i guess shimano learned from campy's mistakes......I've put 5000 'hard' km in on the 486 (only race on it, not much training/spinning) & the DA 10 hasn't missed a beat....you can't beat the brakes...Shimano brakes used to be a bit ordinary compared to the 'spaghetti sauce' mob.....not anymore, WWWAAAYYYY better,
