It will work fine, I have several thousand miles on my commuter with 27" front and 700c rear.
LOL. Sweet. I will probably use the old 27" wheel as an option for another gear ratio for the days when I'm riding more hilly terrain or longer distances. How "goofy" does it look? Can you post a pic?
