Diamond-frame Schwinn Cruiser question
I need some ID help and opinions from the Schwinn gurus here. I spotted an interesting Cruiser Deluxe at a second hand store, and the price is right ($20.) As much as I don't need another cruiser, I've never seen this model and I'm leaning in favor of grabbing it. It looks like a late 80s bike based on the diamond frame and Dia Compe MX brakes (which are probably worth the asking price.) Alloy rims & cranks, European bottom bracket, BMX-syle stem with cruiser bars, and big sofa for a seat. I couldn't get a good look at the rear because of some furniture in the way, but it looks to be a six-speed.
Diamond frame cruisers are still fresh in the unpleasant memories of the late 80's / early 90's for me, and there seems to be no interest in the forums I've checked, but I'm somehow intrigued...
Is anyone familiar with this model? Is it newer than I've suggested? Will I need to get a mullet wig to ride it properly?
