I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but this is the only section of bikeforums that I read:

Do any of you know whether a Suntour Superbe Pro crankset is supposed to be put on a Shimano BB or on a Campy BB? I'm getting different information from equally credible sources. My local bike store guy (who seems to really know his stuff) says that it fits on Shimano. Online (on the Rivendell website and others) it seems to imply that you need a Campy style BB, or a Phil Wood (yeah right $$$), or a special discontinued Superbe Pro one.

The issue is that I want the chainring to be close to my chainstays so that I can get a straight chainline without having my rear wheel spaced weirdly, which it is now. Any advice on this would be very very much appreciated (maybe someone has Superbe Pros).
