Bikes: Yes!

Hey Pete, your bike is beautiful! That's actually pretty similar to what I had in mind. I just picked up my frame Friday out at Memory Lane Classics. Although I haven't done anything with it yet, I'm pretty excited. I've been exploring my options for cranks (so I don't have to use a one-piece Ashtabula), I think I'll either go with the machined aluminum cups that you press in and bolt together, and screw in a euro bottom bracket from there. That, or there are actually BB's that are one-piece in fashion, but have a square tapered spindle instead of a crank running through the center of them. I love www.danscomp.com

As for the frame spacing, I'm going to try to re-space it and tweak the dropouts back inward so they're parallel. I love my new wheelset (and dropped some big (for me)$$ on it)

Yeah, post a pic (if you can) of that other cruiser. Schwinn did make a Cruiser 5 in the 80's, but the riser BMX bars wouldn't have been custom. Somebody just posted about a Cruiser 5 on here maybe a few months ago?
