What is the best route to bike from the convention center area to the Lucky Lab (for the Worst Day Ride)?
Unfortunately this is one of the places where the streets aren't as friendly as they could be, the confluence of several major streets, the highway, the max, the rose quarter and the convention center. The bike friendly route takes you a few blocks out of the way.

I'd ride up to 12th to get the bridge across the highway Lloyd has a bike lane almost to 12th.
go south on 12th until you come to a 6way intersection
Veer right onto sandy blvd
coast down sandy and it'll bend left and become 7th
ride south to madison, take a right and go a block and a half west. Park at the bike rack. It's the back of the LL but well signed.

If there wasn't much traffic (later in the evening but watch out for drunks) I'd take MLK south until I crossed the highway then jog east to seventh and go from there. I've ridden the sidewalk down MLK as well but it's usually full of day laborers looking for work.
