Do you want a proof? I did this, once: I went through (quickly) the listing of the last 20.000 threads in this subforum and in the mechanics subforum. Result: I found hundreds of locked threads here - but only 1 (yeah!) in the mechanics forum.
And I did expect that result, because I spend a lot of time in that forum, and wanted a quantitative proof of the fact that THIS forum is OVER-moderated.
It's not that this forum is over modded, but rather that the people in the mechanic's forum know how to be much more civil and on topic than the people in SS/FG. Many SS/FG posters are very immature and show it very clearly; not so in the mechanic's forum.
