I aquired a Merida Extreme 903 road series frame awhile back and I am finally getting around to building it up. I don't know much about this bike other than it is made from Tange DB Cromo tubes. I can post pics too if you think it will help. I'm not sure of the year either but probally 90's

I'm trying to gather the parts, but I'm not sure where this bike stands in the heirarchy of bikes. I'd like to properly equipe the frame with something it deserves for the quality of frame it is. I have been looking at Mavic Askiums for a wheel set. I can get a pretty good deal it looks like for last years set. Am I heading down the right road here?

Does anyone have any wheelset suggestions for a frame of this caliber?

What kind of group would have been found on this baby? I'm guessing japanese stuff...Shimano 105??
