I have a pretty good amount of Ibex and Smartwool bits and every one of them is wash and wear. Mind you I have a front loader, but they all get washed the same as my other bike clothes: Wash on regular cycle with a second rinse and in the dryer on low heat. Wash them as often as you feel the need. Good modern wool holds up very well.
