I've used both, and the only difference I'm aware of is the depth of the drop. Otherwise, they're shaped exactly alike, and they're both equally stupid for street riding.

It has nothing to do with liking or not like drop bars, it's about using the right bar for street riding, not a bar designed for short track events.
