I'm about a size 14 US (48 Euro) and I use large clips. I should really be an extra large, but that size would be long enough to catch my front tire (the large has 0.5mm of clearance). I realize it's not really a big problem, but if you don't want to have to worry about your clips unexpectedly catching your front tire in a turn, you should make sure the clips you're getting aren't too big for your bike.
