I'm thinking of bailing out on building up the Redline Conquest Disc-R frame I got forever ago even though I have basically all the parts (including Avid BB-7s). I just think it will be too small for me. Definitely want to do the disc thing.

I'm not a mountain biker, but if I wanted to mess around later 26" mountain wheels are pretty cheap these days. The 1x1 fits 26 x 2.7" tires, so I can't see clearance being an issue with, say 700x28. Handling might be funky though. I'm just not sure I need the bulk of a 29er frame for street riding, but I like 700c wheels.
