+1.....I've got an '83 le tour luxe, I love the bike; I've "modernized" the drivetrain and ride the bike nearly every day. '83 was the first year all the le tour models were built with full chromoly frames, kinda makes them special I like to think-

edit: a couple of other changes that have apparently been made to the bike besides the brakes/levers Pastor Bob mentioned are the shifters on the downtube (originally stem shifters) and the crankset to the Sugino Maxy's.
