ID a bike Please!
Hello, I'm new to Bike Forums and I found out about this great site through a friend.
Well recently I bought a Schwinn road bike to commute from my apartment to campus and I'm just in the process of getting new tires/inner tubes but I was curious if anyone knew what model/year it is or what it's worth.
I took some pictures, mostly of which are detailed shots:

Thanks!

It's a 1983, built on the 214th day of that year. See the number on your headbadge.
I'd guess your bike,

...is a Le Tour Luxe, and someone switched the brake calipers and levers sometime in the past. See the catalogue page link from Tom Findley. Hope this is helpful. The "worth" is what you paid.

Thanks
Well thanks, so then was it worth the $65 I paid for the bike? I just bought new tires/inner tubes/handle bar grip for $50. I feel like it's been a good investment, even though I've yet to ride it. I've been too busy yet to get the new tires on and I'm itching to try it out.

+1.....I've got an '83 le tour luxe, I love the bike; I've "modernized" the drivetrain and ride the bike nearly every day. '83 was the first year all the le tour models were built with full chromoly frames, kinda makes them special I like to think-
edit: a couple of other changes that have apparently been made to the bike besides the brakes/levers Pastor Bob mentioned are the shifters on the downtube (originally stem shifters) and the crankset to the Sugino Maxy's.
