how about prepping the top,down and seatubes, masking off the lugs & stays, then mask the "guerciotti" decals on the DT (from just behind the shift bosses and an equal amount on the other end), mask off the centre of the seatube just beyond the rainbow stripes, etc. to present a painted & clearcoated main triangle with decalled chrome panels? maybe paint the fork crown to match? you'd have to replace just the columbus sticker and would only loose the paolo signature.
