There must have been several different types of badges used in the early seventies, all looking about the same, but constructed and printed differently. The one I have on my '73 B17 I mentioned looks like all those above, but it appears that the "BROOKS" and outline were printed on an aluminum tag with a gloss black finish. Now, all that is left is the black and you can only read where the lettering was by looking at it from an angle. I'd also be curious to know how to obtain a new badge from Brooks, but I'm not sure I'd really want one because it would look out of place on a 35-year-old saddle.
