The thread that really takes the cake is the
Royce Union guy, who asks "what is it worth", and then has the nuts to direct us to contact him via email because he's apparently too lazy to come back to check on the answers to the thread he started.

After all, if one is going to ask for advice that they will ultimately profit on (with little, if any courtesy shown), I don't see why we should give free handouts while they mosey on out, never to be seen again.
Point is, asking about value should require a bit of "pay it forward" in the way of said member giving some posts back to the community, instead of letting their one-time-use user name rot away. Case in point, that fellow from Cyprus asking about the value of his "Sturmey Archer" Rudge DL-1. I believe the bike is one of the odd post '76 export models, and requested that he report back with hub and frame serial numbers so that he can benefit the community as well through his request for value. He hasn't been heard of since.
