Here are some of my shots. Not as good as Rad's but I kinda like 'em.

I like to use a 50mm f1.8 in order to limit the depth of field when taking detail shots. Bluring out the background and foreground objects helps to isolate whatever detail you want to show off.

I also like to try different angles making the shot a bit more dramatic.
I feel straight on side views are required but are relatively difficult to make interesting (unless you are 55/Rad)
