Someone did this with a walmart mountain bike or something, not starting with a ss... search for "loctite walmart" or something.

i remember it had red and silver paint and had a giant plastic thing over the chainring, and there were pictures of it in front of a train.

Edit: I think the verdict was, not a good idea, since it fell apart in like two wweeks.
