Looking for a road stem with some "style"

I have a 1994 Litespeed Catalyst frame and threaded carbon fork on the way. The Catalyst uses smaller OD tubes and has a bit of a classic road bike look to it. While I will be using modern components, I want to preserve some of that classic look.

What stem would you suggest? Pics appreciated.

I could go with a quill, even though they are kind of a pita. What is a good source for quills?

Or, I could install the threadless adapter and go 1 1/8. What do you consider to be the best looking threadless stems?

Are there other options?

Thanks as always, RFC
