There has been some research that seems to indicate that weight loss is helped by consuming more of your calories earlier in the day, so you might want to try it. Also, I find that having a
small healthy snack soon after exercise helps me to avoid the tendency to "eat big" -- you eat a little, let it hit your bloodstream, then a bit later when it's time for your meal you're not starvin' like Marvin.
I concur with all the "listen to your body" advice, but you need also to look beyond the immediate message. If your body says "EAT LOTS FOOD NOW GNOM GNOM" at 8 pm at night, maybe it does need lots of food, but is that a good thing? When you're probably not going to do anything more vigorous than a couple hours of television and then go to bed? Maybe the real message is to adjust the rest of your day's nutrition so you don't want to consume mass quantities in the evening.
