I run a Record front brake when I ride my Wilier track bike on the street. It is the only one I tried that has enough clearance on this particular bike. I have no problems dropping a 23 out without doing anything to the caliper, but you can stretch the heck out of your cable after installation, which then requires that you back out the adjuster to bring the pads back in a bit. This gives you enough adjustment when you screw the adjuster back inwards to give you even more tire clearance for removal. The adjuster nut ends up in the middle of its range approximately, which will give you enough adjustment as the pads wear, but enough the other way to get a fatter tire out.
The braking feel is very nice, but Mavic SSC brakes (way cheaper) have just as nice a feel, I think. I have a set on one of my road bikes.
