I am so torn at this point. The issue that I have is that the shop is about 100 km away. I would have to bus down and bus back with the bike if possible. To add to my confusion is if I want to get the sputnik or bareknuckle. At first the sputnik made sense, good price, better steel, carbon fork. The cons were the geo and lower bb. Thinking I couldn't get one I started thinking bareknuckle which was nice in a way because I like the look, the fact that it has real track geo, higher bb and no logos or water bottle mounts. Now I realize the difference in bb height is almost nothing and the weight difference is almost nothing.
I also have a feeling if I don't go to the shop the sputniks will be gone before I know it (sold out from the dealer in canada, no other stores I called had them).
I don't want to spend $1000 bucks on a bike that doesn't fit me properly. I know with the sputnik I would replace the stem (think stock is too long), crank (170 stock is too long), seat post, and I already have wheels. The bareknucle I would build up from the frame. So at this point the prices are not so different ($900 complete for the sputnik, eai will be somewhere around $800, will find out tomorrow, could be cheaper). Confused!
