Bike apps for iphone?

The 3g iPhone launch is right around the corner(Jul 10) and I'm in need of a more sophisticated bike computer. I've been looking into the Garmin 305/605/705 but the new iPhone intrigues me. I've searched online and here for any bike specific apps but havn't had much luck.

Does anyone have any information on bike specific applications being written or already written? The cost of the new iPhone is $199 which is cheaper than a Garmin 305 and far cheaper than a 605/705. For anyone reading that might be really tech saavy, is it even possible to write an app for the iPhone to perform functions such as heart rate monitor, cadence monitor or altimeter?

I would pay good money just to have everything integrated into one unit if anyone is considering writing such a program if it is even possible. I'm sure the market for this would be significant!
