A coupla questions about a World I just picked up.
What is the biggest dif 'tween the World's and a World sport? I see a ton on sports but very few World's on the 'Bay. Also why did Schwinn not drill and tap a hole for the derail on the dropout. I mean the hole is in the derail so why not the drop? Is this the norm for World's or did they just forget? I heard that some of the Schwinn frames were made by Giant.
I bought this sight unseen and it actually is a clean vintage though too tall for me. The elderly gentleman I bought it from said he bought it for his daughter in the late seventies but she never rode it. Said it has been hanging in their garage ever since. Two inches of dust on the belly and no rust,scratches or wear makes me believe. Even the brake pads look new! Like I said to tall for me but I couldn't pass. Don't know if I'll sell it whole or part it. I might upgrade it first and the see...whatya think?
