I was going to say it's a compact. I don't know anything more about variations within that (i.e. compact pro vs. just compact, if there is such a thing). In anycase they came out in the late 1980s and were made into the 1990s I think. That is very rough dating but it gives you an idea. The good news is that compacts are not nearly as collectable as earlier GIOS' so the powder coating isn't horrible. That bad news sounds like it was coated over the headbadge?
