I am not worried about what brand of panniers to get, that I will take care of myself, pickings are slim here in Hungary and I will likely make my own.

I was just worried that a fixie will not stop properly with the weight of panniers... yeah, it sounds silly, but I got this from the fixie riders I teach and from some lbs tech guy when I happened to ask about fixie hubs and then about panniers on a fixie... so I turned here, thinking this place will probably give me better answers.
