I was so cold, I couldn't feel my fingers by the time I hit the city. 40kms of a 100km ride in the rain? I don't recommend it. The only thing that saved me was my Swobo wool jersey. Never thought I'd say it, but thank god for sheep.
Wots wrong with a little bit of rain? It's the most fun you can have on a bike. Splashing through puddles, getting soaked thru: ain't that every kid's dream ride?
I live for rainy days, coz I know how much fun they are and I also know almost every other loony is stuck in their garage on their trainer. How dull. Plus they aren't learning anything about the limitations of their bike or themselves.
