I haven't messed with SRAM components much, but yeah I'd take one apart if it was giving me problems.

Take a carefull look at your sicklines link and step 5 of the reassembly, looks like there could be a couple of ways to reassemble it incorrectly. It's possible that your shifter has a new variation from their designers.

Post some pics of what you have so far if you can, maybe someone can see something.
