errr cuz cars are cool. This isn't the "living Car Free" forum. I love my cars, and i love saving money on gas by bikeing. That money can be redirected to my cars. I don't live in the suburbs but public transportation is terrible here. Most people need cars to get around in a timely fashion. I would not feel comfortable toting my 3 yr. old son around in traffic on my bike. My wife usually does the picking up and dropping off so we only use one of our 3 cars at the moment.

i was heavy into cars (VWs) years before I got into bikes. Cars are one of my hobbies and the thought of selling my cars is not a happy one for me. That said all 3 of our cars get over 30mpg.
