I popped some wheels on it again and took a look at where the rims line up with the bosses and it definitely is not anything but a 26" wheel bike, I'm surprised the 27s fit on there with plenty of room. I was a little excited that I may have a non MTB frame with the chainstay mounted brakes... but I guess it's an old MTB which makes a lot more sense. So if there are any Bianchi mountain bike catalogs out there from 87/88 I could probably figure it out pretty quick but I'm a little less interested now! The alloy wheels were worth what I paid for it anyway. I already had a frame lying around that needed a set.
Probably use it as practice to get the spray paint off for my other Bianchi frame I got with a cheesy rattle-can job then use it as a SS grocery getter as my other one is needing some attention.
With that celeste paint, you may have a Grizzly, Bianchi's top-end mountain bike. Definitely
87 or 88, and definitely worth removing the rattlecan black to see what's underneath.
EDIT: It looks like it's welded, not lugged, so it may not even be a Bianchi...
