I want to buy a pair of pitlock skewers to protect my wheels, but I'm not sure if the rear skewer will work for a Surly Cross-check. The skewer is made for vertical dropouts and doesn't have the clamping power to support horizontal dropouts. The C-C has semi horizontal dropouts so I have no idea if the two are compatible. Has anyone tried this?
