Paolo Dotti bicycle

I recently bought a Dotti road bike. It appears to be from a small production shop in Ghedi, Italy. I believe that Paolo Dotti was a racer but do not know any more about him or his relationship to the bicycles. The frame is steel, and has Shimano 105 brakes, crank, and deraillures. The frame dropouts and seat post are Campy. The top tube and downtube are ovalized at the head tube and round at the other tube ends. There is a Dotti Personal sticker on the chainstay. The frame is purple and the lugs are chrome. The story is that a U.S. serviceman had it made for him at the shop. Does anyone have information about these bikes or know where to find out more? Thanks
