Coming home after my night shift, I was thinking how lucky I am having the bike trail/MUP on the last part of my commute home, as its cool, looks pretty and glass free, (its certainly no "Baltimore" ), Until I got near the end that is, the last section every half mile of so was covered by broken beer bottles . Some kids obviously out on Friday night deliberately dropping empty beer bottles in the middle of the bike trail I was really p*ssed off.

So I thought I'll come back tomorrow and maybe clean it up as I was really tired today, (posting on this forum through the night at work does that ), and its really windy and cold today as well. I'd also stopped off and bought stuff and had a nice breakfast lined up for the wife as its the weekend.


Then I thought of the other cyclists that may use this trail today, the people walking their dogs, kids running around, even little Bike Trail Cat - his little paws could get injured

So I went back, with a few heavy duty plastic bags, a dustpan and brush and spent an hour and a half shoveling up glass.


Feel really pleased that I did it
