When the head on one of my pumps died, my NBS sold me a Silca head. The head uses a cork gasket for a snug fit to a presta valve. Just needed a hose clamp to put it on. Most good NBS stock replacement gaskets that are very cheap.

The cork gasket works well to about 120 PSI. I had a tire rated to 160 PSI, and I was curious to see what the tire would feel like at 160 PSI. The Silca had would come off the valve at about 140 PSI or so.

These days, I never pump any tire about 120 PSI, and the Silca head works fine.
