Actually LA air quality is almost always green according to this site it's burbank that gets the **** air, it gets trapped here. All of Hollywood, Pass, LA and west side will be green burbank will be yellow and not all of it, just where I work and live.
Well it's the valley where air tends to stagnate. Hollywood and West LA is on the other side of the hill and benefit from the ocean wind...which blows the smog over the hill into the valley. Don't worry about it, ride in the morning when the air quality is best.
