Roadwarrior is of course 100% correct...you are talking apples and oranges here in terms of the frame. The CAAD9 is a Pro race worthy frame that Cannondale has passed down to their low end of bikes. The Trek AL frame is mass produced in China by Giant from lower end AL in a cheap no R&D design and was meant to fill the need for an entry level frame.

There seriously isn't even a fair comparison that can be draw between the two bikes.
