Trek 1.5 vs. Cannondale CAAD9
How do these two bikes compare to each other a far as riding caracteristics? I.E., upright, bent over etc. As far as price they are $100.00 apart and seems that the Cannondal has better all around compnents.
Thanks in advance,
Mike O.

Thanks for the replies. I plan on riding the CAAD when the shop has one in my size. I have already rode the 1.5 and it seem to feel pretty good. Not to bent over but was a little stretched out when braking. they said they could shorten the neck up.

For the price, the CAAD9 is going to be a better price. However, if it doesn't fit you when you ride it, or it doesn't feel as good as the 1.5 then that won't matter. Go with the bike that feels comfortable to you. If you want to, look at the Trek 2.1. Component wise it is better then the 1.5 but it is a little more expensive. You can probably find a really good deal on a 2008 model because the 09's are now rolling out.

There seriously isn't even a fair comparison that can be draw between the two bikes.

Roadwarrior is of course 100% correct...you are talking apples and oranges here in terms of the frame. The CAAD9 is a Pro race worthy frame that Cannondale has passed down to their low end of bikes. The Trek AL frame is mass produced in China by Giant from lower end AL in a cheap no R&D design and was meant to fill the need for an entry level frame.
There seriously isn't even a fair comparison that can be draw between the two bikes.

I test rode a 1.5 before buying my CAAD9. The Cannondale has better components and a better frame. No contest.
