I've ridden in the rain for the past three days...have been running 26 by 1.5 Kenda semi slicks on the new bike which seem sticky enough and they really suck up the bumps far better than my fg road bike.

Come to think of it... 4 of the five fg bikes I have all run wider tyres which goes a long ways to making the ride a little more plush.
