I couldn't wait for your review so I went ahead and ordered the rack along with some inexpensive Avenir Metro panniers. I assume I will need to modify the attachment mechanism on the panniers to make it more secure to the rack but it should be easy.

Nothing like turning a full fledged road bike into a touring bike
