All I can tell you for sure is that he frame was manufactured in 1979. It may or may not be a 600 model. The model numbers established the relative position in the lineup and did not always correspond to the group. For instance, I have Shogun literature which lists the model 600 as being equipped with Shimano 105. It is even possible that Shogun may have used model names, rather than model numbers in the late 1970s. So far, I have only been able to obtain Shogun literature and/or ads as far back as 1983. BTW, does your bicycle have a Country of Origin decal?
