If you're going for the Diamantes, skip the Lights, you won't notice the weight difference and they wear much quicker then the regulars. I run the regular diamantes daily on nyc streets and while they definitely wear quicker, I've yet to suffer any punctures or sidewall separation horror stories you hear about. There is a definite tradeoff with durability (these aren't gatorskins, and excessive skidding will only end in tears) but the ride quality benefit is well worth it for me personally. I now use my Cont GP4000s as a rear on my trainer and when I feel like ****ing around brakeless.
